OPINION:

The recent flurry of piracy incidents got me to thinking ... if folks were caught off guard about how an airliner could be used as a WMD ... imagine what a Super Tanker holding more than a quarter of the daily oil exports from Saudi Arabia and about three times the size of a U.S. nuclear powered aircraft carrier could do ... such a ship is right now in the hands of pirates off the coast of Somalia!

Admiral Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said he was "stunned" by the reach of the Somali pirates who seized a Saudi supertanker off the east coast of Africa. MORE
